I have now
been seen several times by the MPR vet. They
believe that I may have a genetic defect which in
children is called failure to thrive. I am now
down to 1 pound 13 oz and my temperature was 97 degrees
today.
I am struggling to survive so I would appreciate
prayers.

I was seen
for my recheck today and the Veterinarian recommended
that I be kept on the antibiotic a little longer to
make sure the infection was gone. My blood work
was good. I did not like that needle they stuck
in me that they said would not hurt and was for a
vaccination I needed. My next visit they said I
will get the needle twice, once for the second step of
the vaccination and the second for my microchip.

I am 7 weeks old and was surrendered to Michigan Pug Rescue because I was the runt of the litter and failed to thrive. I was examined by the Veterinarian who said I have an upper respiratory infection and I get medicine twice a day. I have never had any vaccinations and cannot now until my infection is cleared up. I was stepped on when I weighed less than a pound and the X-rays that were taken by the MPR vet showed no signs of an injury. I am being feed through a syringe by my foster mom so I will get the nutrition needed to fight off my infection. I really don’t feel so good but my foster mom and the MPR vet are doing their best to bring me back to good health so I can get started on my vaccinations and be available to be adopted. If you think you like me, don’t wait too long to apply to complete an application because someone else may beat you to it by sending in their application first.
If you are interested in adopting Trina or any of the Pugs currently residing with Michigan Pug Rescue, please go to the Adoption Information section of our website, where you will find the necessary forms to download to begin the adoption process.
