Buster

We just wanted
to drop you a line and let you know that Buster is
getting along great--him and Gertie seem to have
become friends and play quite a bit. He's a
very sweet boy and loves attention! We're so
glad that he has become a part of our family
The first couple days after
we got home he wasn't eating all too well
for us; however, that quickly changed and he
knows where the pantry that contains his food is
located and lets us know very well if he's
hungry or wants a treat! He also did
something bad, but also funny--the first week,
when we'd let him and Gertie out before bedtime
to go to the bathroom, when Gertie would come
back in, her backside would be wet--we quickly
discovered that Buster was "marking" her!!
We talked to the vet and he found it to be
funny, but said it was something that he would
"quickly get over doing" and now, for the last
couple weeks, he's been good! Buster has
made himself right at home and has become es
pecially attached to me--he's like my little
shadow--as you can see by the pictures, if I'm
on the couch, it's a quarantee that both of them
will be with me--and I wouldn't have it any
other way
Thank you for
selecting us to be Buster's family and we will
be great parents for him

Bogie

Hello,
Brenda and Larry Elliott, who are completely in love with Bogie after just 24 hours.
Bogie is settling in wonderfully. He is such a good boy. He's good about potty. Plays well and just generally likes to hang out near one of his parents. He likes to sit at his mom or dad's feet when they're sitting in the living room. In fact, sometimes he just sits right on their feet (see photo).
Thank you again for everything. Bogie is a wonderful dog and a great addition to our family. We're very grateful.
Best,
Julia

Hello guys!
I thought I would send an update on Ike for the website along with a few photos. We are settling in to the new place and getting ready for winter. There are so many pugs in the new neighborhood - Blanche who did our home visit just lives a few blocks away. We are just lovin' this guy!!
Ike is just such a special guy. It has been almost six months and he (and us) have settled in with no problems - despite an unexpected move. He makes us laugh everyday and keeps me warm as we snuggle on the couch at night.
He has adjusted well to life as a Canadian - well really who wouldn't. He loves going for rides on the subway and streetcars, mostly because he gets a lot of attention... from girls. Like any pug he loves his food and I think can hardly wait until we leave the house in the morning so he can get his kong stuffed with peanut butter and carrots spread throughout the house.
All our neighbours fell in love with him and there are lots of pugs in the new neighborhood, so every Sunday we head down to the park to play with the pack of 6-9 pugs... I guess it beats me chasing him around the living room.
This little guy loves his walks and after work we head to the ravine for some nature and a bit of off leash action. So many dogs, so many smells. He is not so keen on the rain, I wonder what he will do when the snow comes? Noel and I swore we would never dress him in clothes, but for Christmas my mum is knitting him a sweater - hopefully something tasteful.
For an urban dog, he LOVES the country. When we visit my parents he can hardly wait to get out of the car. He loves running around the yard and pond and digging holes and picking up sticks to shake.
Everyone loves this guy and so do we. He is a wonderful companion. Noel and I are enjoying him so much. Thank you.
Anne, Noel and Ike

Po

I
Wanted to let you know about Po, who we adopted a
year ago in June from Michigan Pug
Rescue.
Po has been such a fantastic addition to our family. We can’t imagine life with out him! He is our first dog, and he is so well behaved, and is very determined and insistent on having his humans cuddle him. He warms up to people so much, he really makes so many friends and family he meets so happy. He loves sleeping number one, barking at all the neighbor dogs that walk by two, and he really gets happy when it is time for a walk! He has so much personality and emotion – he is such a funny guy, he cheers us all up every day, and we try to be the best family to Po! Thank you so much for matching us up with Po. We are all totally in love with him! –Anne, Woody and Mia

Hi
Larry,
Thought I'd let you know that Mugsey is doing great! He continues to be such a loving little guy, and becoming very playful. We are currently working with the nutritionists at the vet's office, and taking Slentrol, a new weight lose RX. With this, diet, and increased exercise, he is slowly losing weight. I tried on my own, with diet and exercise (since 04/29/06-when he came home with us), but he'd lose and then gain back again. This seems to be working, and the vet is pleased at his progress.Hopefully we can get him down to near 16 lbs. Currently 21.3. My husband and I both notice he's got more "pep" and is actually running and even chasing his tail. He makes me laugh, because I'm so happy he's having fun. Still loves the grand kids, rides in the car and walks @ the park. In fact, he likes the cooler weather better then summer, so we do get out almost everyday for at least a mile walk.
I'm am so happy that I was able to adopt from your organization. Thank you again.
Sincerely,
Kristine Laga
