Riley with Cinnamon

An update on
Riley .. He has a Siamese sister now! They are
getting along very well. They actually look
alike with their coloring. We rescued her from
the dumpster at Mark’s work. We tried to find
her real parents, but no one responded to the found
kitty posting. Their lost, she’s a
doll. Angie

We adopted Rocky
on October 9, 2007 and I just wanted to thank you
guys again for bringing him into my life. We love him
so much!! Him and his sister pug Sandy are so good
together. I wanted to email a photo of the two sun
bathers from this past weekend. Thanks again for
giving me the chance to give Rocky a great home! Till
next time ~Kelly Hawkins

Ike is doing
just great and so are we. We have settled in to a bit
of a routine in the mornings. He still LOVES his
walks and gets to meet lots of other dogs and also
gets a few pets from people too. He now knows to sit
so I can put the harness on him and when we get back
and take the harness off, he runs into the kitchen
and sits patiently for his treat. Last night he lost his
carrot under the oven and came to me and then went
back to the oven - back and forth - until I finally
looked under the stove to see what the fuss was about
and saw his carrot! He is a total pro on the
subway - no problem at all. We figured he'd be okay
since cars, trucks, buses and streetcars don't seem
to phase him at all. There has been no marking or
accidents in the house. He sleeps through the night
on the bed I made him. We are reinforcing all his
good behaviour with treats - carrots and liver
treats. We are starting obedience
class in June - already he is pretty good, but there
is always room for inprovement - like coming when
called even though there was a loud bang off in the
distance - and it will be good for me too!
We have also
done lots of visiting and he has gotten to meet lots
of people. All our neighbours love him
and keep saying it looks like he has always been with
us. Right
now he is culred up on my lap sleeping.
We have just
been so lucky with Ike and just love him so much
already. Thanks again for everything
and hopefully we'll see you in September.

We adopted Lucy
this month and she has been a great addition to our
family, she's the one on the left and she has a big
brother named Bruiser that is on the right, the play
and cuddle so well together. She is now fully potty
trained and she has no problem waking us up with
kisses to let us know when she needs to go out.
Thanks so much for taking good care of her and I
would recommend anyone to resuce a pug from the MPR
any day. Danielle and Matt.
Lucy is doing great, the picture is of Bruiser and Lucy and our friends dog Sweat Pea, they all get along so good. She has made her self right at home and has been doing pretty good with potty training, she's learning from her big brother! She has taken over the bed at night and lets us know when she needs to go out side by licking either one of our faces. We are so happy that we have her in our family she is the sweetest pug. Bruiser also loves having her around to play tug a war with and run around the back yard. She hasn't been eating everything in the yard, she is way too busy finding out what Bruiser is up to.
Thanks for everything and we are truly happy with Lucy.

Henry

We adopted Henry in March 2007, and we tell him that
he is the Pug of our dreams! Henry was chunky
back then, and losing 4# has allowed his
"inner athlete" to emerge. We had a blast in
agility class during the summer; a photo shows Henry
running thru the hoop tunnel. The next
photo shows him on Halloween, quite unfazed
by a monster at the governor's house.
He was dressed as a Pug (punk) Rocker,
helping pass out candy. Living
with a Pug is like living with
Princess Diana--everyone notices Henry and wants to
say hi, and he is a little gentleman, happy to greet
them all.
Henry is a great companion, who really enjoys two of our favorite things--walking and napping (see photo of him taking advantage of a pile of clean laundry). He also loves the dog park. Given a choice, he would like to eat our pet rabbit, but we're working on that...
We were dismayed to miss the reunion picnic in September, but Henry's people both had bronchitis, and we wouldn't allow "H" to drive himself. We plan to be there next year! Thanks Michigan Pug Rescue for bringing us Henry!

I just wanted
you to know that we are really enjoying
Margaret. She is such a sweetie, and
cuddler.Seems like we have had her
forever. She and Spanky are doing
fine. Although, I do think Spanky is
wondering when she is going home. He hangs
in the same general area as her and they hang
together when outside. I think they will
become inseparable eventually. She seems
to have made herself at home and knows this is her
home. She does sleep with Travis and they
have definitely bonded. He cleaned her
ears and wrinkles and did a good job. He wants
to takecare of her as much as he
can. We went and picked up a new bed,
which has her afghan on it and a bowl and
toy.we
found if we put dog gravy on her food she eats it
just fine. But, she is definitely
not a chow hound, which is good, because Spanky
isn't either. So, there isn't a food
problem.Thanks for recommending her
to us, we love her. She puts a smile on my
face when I see her. Paulette

I just wanted to
give you an update on Gizmo 2, who we adopted several
months ago. His name is now Pablo, and
has taken very well to that. He is doing
extremely well and still has lots of energy, enjoys
long walks with this pug sister, Bailey, and
wrestling with Bailey and the cats. He
continues to be very playful, but I think Bailey is
starting to instill the "non-puppy" laziness in him,
as he loves taking naps on the bed and on the
couch. I've attached a current picture as
well. I know he is very happy in his forever
home!

Just wanted to
let you know that I believe Yoda is fully adjusted to
his new surroundings. He is truly awesome. I
absolutely love him, and I already can't imagine my
life without Yoda Schuman. Kenneth D. Schuman
Cloie
01-Feb-2007 10:14
We adopted Cloie
(known as Cozy on the website) as a result of the
adoption fair at the Midland Fairgrounds last summer
(2006). We just love her! In addition to
her favorite place to relax during the day as
pictured below she enjoys sleeping on her LL
Bean Bed in the master bedroom. This of course
occurs only when she is not on our Bed!
Thanks very much for the wonderful work you do to
place these precious animals in loving homes.
Kevin & Kelly Dillan P.S.
This is Cloie with the remote on SuperBowl Sunday.
