Biggs is an owner surrender. He was one of a litter of nine and the owner decided she wanted him to be placed in a home rather than keeping him. He is 1 year old, house and crate trained, has been brought up to date on his Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella, fecal, blood and heartworm testing. Biggs suffers from a hereditary disease called Legs-Perthos.. This is where the ball at the top of the leg does not properly fit into the socket. He will have surgery to correct the issue and may walk and run with a slight limp afterward. He will need to be on Glyco-Flex II for the remainder of his life to help reduce any arthritic condition. He is good with children, dogs and cats and loves to be cuddled.Update1/25/15: The FHO surgery was successful. His one leg is shorter than the other and as a result of his condition having lingered for some time he still is not using the leg all of the time He may require some therapy.4/16/15: Biggs therapy has gone well. He is now using his leg when he runs. Biggs adoption process has closed.
