Update June 10th;  Thor saw the Orthopedic Surgeon to.  He had X-rays of his hips, knees and spine to attempt to determine the cause of him dragging his rear legs.  The X-rays did not show anything abnormal but they are being sent to the Radiologist for his review.  Depending on what the Radiologist says Thor may be referred to a Neurologist to determine the problem.

Update May 24th;  Thor saw the Ophthalmologist on May 24th. He has Pigmentary Keratitis . He has Tacrolimus .2 for both eyes twice daily indefinitely and Ketorolac .5% Opth. Solution in the right eye twice daily indefinitely. He is scheduled to see the Ophthalmologist in 3 months. He has an appointment with the Orthopedic surgeon on June 10th to have his back legs examined.

Igor, now Thor was surrendered by his family because his dad was being deployed overseas and his mom was pregnant with their 2nd child.  They felt it was in his best interest to be placed into a new home because he would not receive the attention he deserved.  He is 6 years old and been neutered, brought up to date on Rabies, DHPP, Lepto, Flu, heartworm testing and preventative.  He is potty trained, good with children and very active for his age.  He is being treated for bilateral ear infections and Pigmentary Keratitis.  He will return to the Ophthalmologist in 3 months to be rechecked.  He also has a cataract in the same eye that should be resolved with the medication for the Keratitis.  Once he sees the Ophthalmologist and receives clearance he will be made available to be adopted.
If you are interested in adopting him, go to  click on the Adopt/Foster tab, read all the information, download, print, complete and send the application for adoption by US mail. If you are thinking of sending the application by Express or Priority, UPS or Fed Ex, please consider sending it by regular mail and send the difference to the rescue as a taxable donation.
