My name is Charlie, I came to Pug Luv through a good Samaritan who found me a couple of months ago. The Veterinarian believes I am about 9 or 10 years old and either a poorly bred Pug or a Pug mix. When I was examined the Veterinarian found a slight heart murmur and said I needed to see a Cardiologist before I could have my teeth cleaned, be neutered and a growth removed. The Cardiologist examined me and performed an EKG and said I have Stage B1 degenerative mitral/tricuspid valve disease and could go under anesthesia. He has been brought up to date on his Rabies, Distemper, Lepto, Flu, Bordetella, heartworm testing and preventative. I am having my surgery on September 20th. I am good with children and other dogs, house trained and moderately active. I like to go for walks but they must be limited on hot and/or humid days. Charlie was seen by the Internal Medicine doctor to try to determine why his blood tests continue to show abnormal levels. He had an Ultrasound and additional blood tests to determine if he has a Thyroid issue causing the issues. If you are interested in adopting me go to the Adopt/Foster tab and read all information contained in that section, download and Apple=ication for Adoption, print it, complete it and mail it in.
If you are unable to adopt, consider making a donation to the rescue to assist with his and other Pugs Veterinary Expenses.
