Charlie is a 7 year old male who was rescued from a shelter 2 hours before they were going to put him to sleep as unadoptable because he needed medical treatment. He is pet friendly, crate trained, good with kids and has been neutered. He has been brought up to date on Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella, Corona, heartworm and fecal testing and has been microchipped. When he came into the rescue he had an ear infection, needed a dental cleaning, 3 teeth pulled, in addition to 4 masses that needed to be surgically removed. One on his eye lid, one on his leg one on his left chest and one on his mid back. He went through all of the surgery very well and is a happy, energetic, loving boy. He is currently on antibiotics and eye medications for pigmentary Keratitis. He will need to be on artificial tears (as all Pugs should be) for life in addition to Optimune for the Keratitis. The results of the biopsy have not been received yet. If you are interested in adopting Charlie or any of the other Pugs available on our website, please download and complete an adoption package which can be found under the Adoption Info section "Forms" at michiganpugrescue.com UPDATE: All of Charlie's biopsies came back negative!
