II would like to introduce myself. I am Peea the Pug. I was picked up after my owner dumped me at the side of the road. I have had puppies in the past and I guess I did not meet their expectations. The shelter that picked me up is a shelter that euthanizes dogs they feel are not adoptable. Did I hear someone ask why I am not adoptable? Well I am but not according to their standards. I needed to be spayed, get all my vaccinations, Heartworm and fecal testing, and have my teeth cleaned. In addition I have a deformed eye, sometimes called a raisin eye because it did not fully develop. OK, that is their side of the story. Someone who worked at the shelter pulled me out and gave me to a rescue that deals with large dogs. The lady was not comfortable dealing with me because she knew little about Pugs. She called MPR and they came to get me. I have been vaccinated against Rabies, Distemper, Corona, Bordetella, Heartworm and fecal tested. Upon my examination the vet determined that I have an irregular heartbeat and has referred me to the Cardiologist for a consultation. Once I get clearance from the Cardiologist I will be spayed and have my teeth cleaned. The vet estimates my age at 5 or 6 years old. I do very well with other dogs and children. I am a bit shy until I get to know you. I do like to play. I will potty outside, but, if there is paper on the floor I will use that. I am looking for someone who will give me a forever home and love and play with me. I am very grateful to Michigan Pug Rescue for saving my life. If you would like to make a contribution to assist in my Veterinary care please go to the donations section of this web site. If you are interested in adopting me or any of the Pugs currently residing with Michigan Pug Rescue, please go to our web site, michiganpugrescue.com and go to the Adoption info section where you will find the necessary forms to download to begin the adoption process. I was adopted on 7/21/09 to a college student. I am her first dog and I will train her my way
