My name is Lucky, I am 3 years old and I arrived on THE PUG CHUG a CHOO-CHOO today, December 14, 2008 along with my litter of 7 puppies, 2 other moms and 10 other puppies. I am still nursing my puppies so they will not be available to adopt until they are no longer nursing which should be in a couple of weeks. I need to be spayed, receive all of my vaccines, heartworm test, fecal test and a dental cleaning and micro-chipping. This cannot be done until after the puppies are not nursing. I have a severe case of Keratitis in both eyes so I only see shadows. I came from a breeder in Oklahoma who wanted to retire from breeding. I am very sweet but there is no information on my interaction with children or if I am housebroken. 2/19/09 Update: I was seen today by the Ophthalmologist who prescribed some antibiotic drops and medicine to try to clear my eyes. He said that possibly I will not need surgery but will re-evaluate me in about 6 weeks to determine how the medications have helped my condition. He feels there is a possibly that I some of my vision can be restored I have also been working on my people skills and now see that people are not a bad thing and will be a help to me as well as very loving. I am also doing real good with my housetraining. 3/28/09 Update: Lucky was seen again by the Ophthalmologist and they said she was improving. She is not scheduled to be seen again for 3 - 4 months. She is to continue to receive the eye medication. She does have limited sight and gets around in her foster home very well. She is interacting with the other Pugs well and has learned that there is a better life than what she came from. She enjoys being with her foster mom now that she has learned to trust her.
