MPR was contacted by Animal Control about me. I was a stray who was not claimed. The vet from Animal Control said I needed to have my eye removed and I had not been neutered. They gave me vaccinations for Rabies and Distemper. The MPR vets examined me did blood tests and vaccinated me for Corona and Bordetella, tested me for Heartworm and did a fecal test. I have been micro-chipped and I am presently being treated for the ulcer on my left eye and the vets do not feel the eye needs to be removed.. I will be neutered once my eye issue has been resolved. It has been estimated that I am approximately 2 years old, I am very playful, good with other dogs, cats and children, crate trained and do my best not to mess in the house.. I just would like to go to a home where I will be loved and treated like a member of the family. I was adopted by a woman who will take me to work with her. Boy is that the life or what? Update 9/24/09: After ongoing treatment for my eye the decision was made that it could not be saved. It was removed on 9/23/09. I don't mind because now all of the pain and vet visits will be over with. But, I do think I should have a different name like Captain Bly or Captain Hook or maybe One eyed Jack.
