My mom tried to return me to the agency I was adopted from and they would not contact her back so she gave me to Michigan Pug Rescue on 10/2/09. All of my paperwork says I am a Pug but boy did that other rescue pull the wool over my mom's eyes. I am a Puggle as you can see from my photo. When she adopted me about 4 months ago she was not working as much as she is now. She did not feel a 1 year old dog should be crated 12 14 hours a day. I am 16 months old, crate trained, neutered, microchipped, vaccinated against Rabies, Distemper, Corona, Bordetella, heartworm and fecal checked and pretty much housebroken. I have not been taught how to walk on a leash yet and it really scares me when I am put on one. I am rather skittish with strangers but I really like to be held and cuddled once I have gotten to know you. Little children also make me afraid but I do like older children. Update 1/16/2010: Ritchie has been exposed to all ages of children and although he is timid at times, he is fine with children. Update April, 2010: I am very good on a leash now and although still a little skittish, I give a sniff and within about 10 seconds you are my friend. If you are interested in adopting me or any of the Pugs currently residing with Michigan Pug Rescue, please go to our web site, michiganpugrescue.com and go to the Adoption info section where you will find the necessary forms to download to begin the adoption process.
