Donny was adopted as part of the Purina Pets for Seniors Program

Donny came to "Pug Luv" as a stray that was not claimed.  The MPR vet estimates him to be 3 to 4 years old.  He has now been neutered and vaccinated for Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella, fecal, heartworm and blood tests were done.  Tests were also done on his skin as a result of several areas that appeared questionable.  The skin tests came back normal but the heartworm test was positive. He will undergo heartworm treatment.  At this time there is a national shortage of the medication that is used to treat the disease.  Once the medication becomes available he will be treated.  He is currently being evaluated with regard to housetraining. 

Update 10/14/11:  Donny's evaluation has revealed he is housebroken and wonderful with children and other dogs.  He will begin his heartworm treatment on 10/19.

Up Date 12/7/11:  Donny has completed his heartworm treatment and is rady to go to his forever home.  His holiday wish is to be in his new home before the holidays so his new family can shower him with lots of love and gifts.
