Star a 6 year old female,was surrendered to "Pug Luv" by her owner. She has had puppies in the past. She was seen by the MPR the vet and has been spayed, brought up to date on Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella, fecal and blood tested, microchipped and had her teeth cleaned. Here dental resulted in all but 5 teeth being removed, many surgically. The vet examined and x-rayed her hind legs as it appears she walks with some difficulty. All x-rays were negative. She tested positive for Heart worm and will be retested prior to beginning Heartworm treatment. She needs assistance with her house training. She gets along with cats, other dogs and children.
Update 7/15/13:  The second Heart worm test was also positive so Star will need to undergo Heart worm treatment.  It appears that she is the early stages of the disease. 
Update 8/20/13:  The MPR vet has cleared Star for adoption.  She has completed her Heart worm treatment successfully.  She is not to have any strenuous activities for the next month and must be Heart worm tested in 6 months.  She has been medically cleared for adoption.
