Charlie was surrendered to 'Pug Luv' after he was hit in a door and his family was unable to afford the medical treatment for him. He is 4 months old. His leg was broken in 3 places and needed surgery with screws and pins to repair the leg. The x-rays also revealed a vertebrae in his spine that may have been injured at another time, birth defect or from this injury. There appears to be no issues at this time but the condition could worsen at a later date. Charlie will need further follow up with the Orthopedic Surgeon, his vaccines completed and be neutered. Update 8/20/2014: Charlie's surgery was a success. He will need a second surgery to remove one of the pins. Charlie has recovered from his elbow surgery and will now be neutered. He must remain on GlycoFlex and fish oil for the rest of his life . He will be neutered this week and available for adoption after that.
