Rhett was born on 1/27/14 and was surrendered to "Pug Luv" by his new owner. She was unable to pay for the vet care that was required after she had already paid for the care that was necessary for his one eye. Rhett saw Dr. Ramsey, the Ophthalmologist today, August 4th and was given the all clear to be adopted. He has made significant progress over the 11 months he has been with "Pug Luv". He will remain on Tacrolimus eye drops 3 times a day so that the progress he has achieved will continue. He has good vision in the bottom crescent of the eye and with continued treatment Dr. Ramsey expects this should spread to the entire bottom half of the eye. He will need to be seen again in 6 months. Rhett is a very active boy who likes to play and rough house with other dogs. He is now 18 months old, good with children, potty and crate trained, neutered, up to date on Rabies, DHLLP, Bordetella, heart worm, fecal and blood testing. Rhett needs to go to a home where there are younger children or other dogs to occupy his high energy If you are interested in adopting Rhett or any of the Pugs currently residing with "Pug Luv" got to the Adopt tab of michiganpugrescue.com to download, print, complete and submit an Application for Adoption to begin the process.
