Shadow has an adoption pending a home visit

Shadow has been released for adoption by the Pug Luv vet.  He will need to be on medications for his allergies and vasculitis for the rest of his life.  He will also need to be seen by the Pug Luv vet in 2 weeks.

Shadow is 4 years old.  He has been brought up to date on his vaccines, heart worm, fecal and blood tests and had a dental cleaning.  He is good with children and other dogs, crate and potty trained.  He was surrendered because he has some allergy issues and his mom was unable to afford his care.   His allergy issues are being evaluated by the Pug Luv Veterinarian and he has been placed on an Emu and Rutabaga diet to eliminate food allergies.  He was on antibiotics for the yeast issues he also suffers from, as a result of the allergies.  He had several growths removed as well as skin scrapping to assist in the diagnosis of the allergy issues.  Shadow has been put on Apaquel for his allergies.  The allergy issues seem to have responded to the medication.  He will likely need to be on the medication for the remainder of his life.  He has begun to eat regular food mixed in with the Emu and Rutabaga to see how he responds to regular food.  He was seen again on June 27th by the Veterinarian and will be re-evaluated again at the end of July.  He was placed on meds for possible vasculitis of his ears.   At that time it will be determined if he is medically cleared for adoption.
