Jo Jo
March 16, 2003 - December 20, 2010
Jo Jo passed over the rainbow bridge on December 20, 2010 to join his sisters Ebony, Sarah and Ivory. He can now again enjoy his 2 mile daily walks pain free. He battled his disease for the past 8 months but as we knew would happen it took its toll on him. He can now rest in peace and not be in any pain or discomfort. He will be missed.
We would like to thank everyone who kept him in their thoughts and prayers as well as those of you who helped with his extensive medical bills.

Tauber
Tauber 1999 - 2010
Could you ever imagine a pug being so lovable that
he would lie on his back like a baby in your arms and
fall asleep? That was our ever-so-lovable pug, Tauber.
He loved all creatures both great and small. That may
explain why he loved our home with other animals and
befriended our Piglet Cooper when he arrived. They.
were snuggle buddies in the beginning. He went to
Cooper to say goodbye in the end, in body, not in spirit
and in soul. Tauber holds a huge part of our hearts,
and they were crushed the day he fell fast asleep next
to Cooper and never woke up. We miss him every day,
always under foot, always needing to be connected to
family, both physically and emotionally. "Taub Taub" ...
we love and miss you so much! We hope you are having
so much fun playing with Maleigh, Gus, Honey and all
the other friends who have gone on before you. We love
you always and forever. You were truly a gift! Mom,
Dad, Braeden, Caitlyn, Brody, Toby, Ebony, Cooper,

Sugar
We adopted Sugar from the Michigan Pug Rescue August 15, 2008. She was
9 years old at the time and our second MPR rescue. Her name says it all. She was a sweetheart who never met a stranger. She loved everyone
she met and everyone instantly loved her. In September of 2009, we
adopted a 12-year old beauty, Zoe, from the MPR, and Sugar instantly welcomed her in. She made Zoe's homecoming truly that - a wonderful experience. She and Zoe were great friends. We recently rescued two cats and Sugar was so excited about them! She gave great face washes and sat patiently while our 6 week old kitten jumped over and around her, batted her ears and nibbled on her tail.
Sugar passed away yesterday, unexpectedly. Our hearts are so heavy with sadness, but grateful for having had the chance to love our sweet Sugar. Thank you, Kathy and Larry, for allowing us to love Sugar and experience what true kindness, patience and loving really are.

Bubba Blackwell 9/1/1996 to 6/22/2010
Bubba was just 4 months old when we first read about him in the paper. So tiny, yet his owners no longer wanted him. He wasn't a rescue pug, but we knew when we brought him home that we had rescued him from that life... and we spent the rest of his life making sure he was loved! We soon learned Bubba was the littermate of our beloved 4 month old pug Lumpy. It was love at first sight for Bubba... not so much for Lumpy. After weeks of showing his total adoration for Lumpy, her heart melted.... and they became constant companions. And just like that out of the immense universe Bubba was plopped into all of our lives! Bubba soon had a little pug brother Willie... and life was amazing and wonderful for almost 14 years! And so was ours!!!! Lumpy and Willie left us first. Bubba stayed with us as long as his fragile little pug body could last. In his eyes you could see his soul was still full of love. We miss the oh so familiar sound of his footsteps beside us. Yet we are sure our three are joyfully together on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. In Bubba, Lumpy and Willie's memory we donate to the many other pugs that need to be rescued.
Esteban
His name was Esteban. He came to us and we instantly fell in love with him. We didn't know he was so sick at first but after finding out we were heart broken and decided to make his last bit of time here his best. He came to us through another rescue and was not treated very well before we got him. He had never had a loving home before ours. He was diagnosed with a non operable cancerous tumor and given only a few months to live. Over that few months he had such an impact on all of the people that he met. He was such a special boy. We took him on trips and cooked for him and got him a stroller to take his walks in because at the end he couldn't walk anymore without having trouble breathing. With the stroller he could still enjoy the breeze in his sweet little face. He died after only 4 months and we had him cremated and placed in a beautiful urn. No matter what has happened in his past, he has finally found his forever family with us. We dearly loved him in those short 4 months and we will always remember our little Esteban. It is because of him that we will continue to help rescue other pugs in need and we will always have a pug in our home.
The Wright Family.
